Privacy Policy

PulsePuzzle ("we", "our") operates pulsepuzzle.com, a collection of free daily puzzle games. This policy explains what information is handled when you play, and the choices you have. The short version: we run no accounts, we ask for no email or password, and the game data that makes your streaks work lives in your own browser.

Information stored in your browser

PulsePuzzle uses your browser's local storage (not cookies) to make the games work. This includes the display name you choose, your puzzle results and completion history, your streaks, your catch-up progress and game selections in the Archive, and interface preferences such as the colour-label option in MemoPulse. This data stays on your device. Clearing your browser data removes it, which also resets your streaks and history.

Information we receive

When you complete a puzzle, your chosen display name, score, and streak are sent to our servers so that daily leaderboards work. Display names are public on leaderboards, so please choose a name you are comfortable showing publicly; offensive names are filtered or replaced automatically. We do not link display names to real identities, and we do not collect email addresses, phone numbers, or account credentials.

Analytics

We use Google tags to understand aggregate usage — for example how many players finish a puzzle — and to measure the effectiveness of any promotion we run. This involves standard identifiers such as cookies and IP-derived approximate location, processed according to Google's Privacy Policy.

Advertising

We show ads from Google AdSense in the Archive section of the site. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, and you can learn how Google manages data in its ad products at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Visitors in the EEA and UK are shown a consent message before personalised ads are served.

Children

PulsePuzzle is a general-audience site. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The only user-provided information on the site is a self-chosen display name.

Data retention and deletion

Leaderboard entries (display name, score, streak, day) are retained to operate all-time leaderboards. If you would like a display name removed from our leaderboards, contact us with the name and we will remove it.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date above will be updated. Material changes will be noted on the homepage.
